When should trees be removed?

As trees grow vertically, signs of trees leaning to one direction or the other may indicate damage or weakening of the root system. A tree leaning more than 15 degrees from vertical should be removed promptly. Signs that more than 50% of damage to the root system of the tree suggest the tree should be removed.
