Oakgrove Community Centre
Oakgrove Community Centre was officially inaugurated by the mayor of The City of Casey Cr Wayne Smith on the 30th of November 1997.
The building improvements included the addition of a new meeting space in 2003, and the addition of a multi-purpose space in 2004. The renovation of the front entrance in 2006 brought an improved accessibility for community members who have disabilities and parents who have prams.
As a Center, we constantly seek to improve both our facility as well as the community programs we provide. Check out the Program Guide for complete details. Any suggestions for concepts and improvements are always welcomed.
Volunteers make up the core to Our Centre which is why we put a high importance on the work of every single one of them. If you’re looking to learn more about opportunities to volunteer in our organization, you can contact the Centre office. We’d be happy to inform you about the opportunities available in our organization.
We invite people to think about being a member of Our Committee of Governance. It is a fantastic way to contribute positively to your local community as well as it’s a rewarding experience and chance to gain new abilities. Training in governance is offered as well as many hugs from the staff in the Centre. . In the Oakgrove Community Centre we run various programs designed to meet the needs of all parts of our community.
In the Oakgrove Community Centre, we have a variety of rooms that are available for hire.
Function Rooms
The rooms are available for rent at reasonable rates. These rooms are popular with families for gatherings like birthday parties, theatre rehearsals for groups, and numerous other events.
Computer / Meeting Room
The room is also equipped with an open study/meeting space.
In the Oakgrove Community Centre, we provide a wide range of activities in a welcoming, warm atmosphere that meets the requirements of all age groups of our community.
We offer a range of programs designed to attract every aspect of our community. The programs include 3 and 4-year-old Pre-Kindergarten, Environmental Group to look at the development and improvement of River Gum Creek Reserve, Dancing and Playgroup
