KingKids Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten Narre Warren
Jo MacKenzie-King had always dreamed of to have a huge family. After having four kids with her husband Andy when she was a teenager, she said “OK, it’s time for number 5” He replied “Whoa enough is enough, I think we need to get the Childcare Centre you’ve always wanted so you can get your baby fix” and KingKids was created. Jo returned to her studies and finished her Diploma in Childcare and in October 2012 they bought their first facility in Berwick with the intention of providing preschool and childcare services for local families. They have transformed the Centre into a place where quality was not there to the first Centre within the City of Casey to be recognized as surpassing Quality. This is a distinction that comes from the National Quality Standards.
Fast forward to the year 2015, KingKids Berwick had a long wait list, as well as an early childhood center across the street located in Narre Warren was closing and providing KingKids with an opportunity to provide education and childcare for families in the area. In less than 12 months the KingKids Narre Warren becomes the second Centre within Casey in the City of Casey to receive an award of Exceeding National Quality Standards.
In November of 2017, KingKids was fortunate to get a lease on an all-new modern Centre in Rowville setting the bar higher in terms of what high-quality early education and childcare should look like. Unfortunately, just a few months after the Centre opened, Andy passed away. He would be so happy with the KingKids Rowville Center.
In the year 2019, Sally became an Executive Director of the KingKids organization. Alongside the Executive Director Jo, KingKids opened a new Centre in Mooroolbark with the passion and determination to develop another exceptional KingKids Centre to serve our family members.
KingKids have opened their 5th centre located in Hallam in November 2020 . they must be be taken seriously. A lot of exciting times lie in store for our KingKids organization.
The KingKids team are thrilled to announce that they’ll be opening a brand-new centre located in Cranbourne West.
Run and managed by people who are aware of and appreciate their employees (not shareholders or multinational corporations) is only one of the factors that sets KingKids different from all other centres.
A high-quality, professional care service for children with a focus on providing a quality childcare service that “excites children and delights families” was Andy’s motto, so to pay tribute to his memory The KingKids team is determined for excellence in all they can be and to make an impact on the lives of the communities we serve.
