Heritage College
Heritage College is a co-educational education institution run through the Seventh-day Adventist Church as part of its global system that comprises Christian Schools. It is accessible to any student who would like to pursue their studies and develop in the context of a Christian atmosphere. The college currently has an enrollment of more than 400 students. It also offers a variety of curriculum and co-curricular activities starting from Prep Year 12. It offers a range of after-school clubs as well as enrichment and learning programs from Year 3 and up, and participation within regional Arts and Sports programs. Heritage College continues to provide an excellent pastoral care for students and their families under its care via The National School Chaplaincy Program. Heritage College is fully registered with the VRQA and is a part of Adventist Schools Australia. Seventh-Day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is accountable for the selection of permanent staff and the oversight of standards for teaching. The Local School Council is responsible for the administration of the college as well as student enrollment and the provision of appropriate facilities that ensure the College can function effectively and safely. The responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the school is with the principal and staff.
The history of development in colleges
1999. Heritage College commences operations at the Narre Warren South campus.
2009: The college expands to offer secondary-level instruction for students in Year 12. The most prestigious class of the Year 12 class graduates from Heritage College, Officer campus.
2010. Multi-Purpose Centre built at Narre Warren South campus, with assistance of the Federal Government. The first Prep students graduated in from Year 12 in the same year.
2012.Land to build Officer Campus Officer campus was purchased. Construction begins on a brand newly constructed Arts and Technology Precinct, which includes food, Textiles, Art, Learning spaces for Design and Media. Two sports ovals were constructed.
2013: Prep classes are available in the very first year on the Officer campus. All secondary classes transfer to on the Narre Warren South campus. Narre Warren South campus becomes the primary-level campus.
2015Building construction is completed two projects at the Officer Campus ( Science Labs and Primary building).
2016. Science Labs were officially inaugurated in February 2016 and were incorporated into the Arts and Technology precinct at Officer campus.
2017: The year one of the 3 – and 4-year-old Kindergarten program starts on the Early Learning Centre, Officer campus. Primary students are transferred away from their classrooms at the Early Learning Centre into purpose-built primary classrooms.
2018: Multi-Purpose Centre works conclude at Officer campus.
2019: Classes are offered in each year starting from Prep until year 12 on the Officer campus. This Multi-Purpose Centre was officially inaugurated in August, 2019 by a grand opening celebration.
2020: Two major infrastructure projects begin with the help from the Victoria State Government’s Building Grants program The primary redevelopment project at Officer campus as well as Narre Warren South’s Early Learning Centre at Narre Warren South campus.
2021: The brand new Early Learning Centre commenced operations in 2021 with a grand opening ceremony at Narre Warren South. Narre Warren campus on May 20, 2021. This brand new Officer Campus Primary Precinct will increase the capacity of the current primary infrastructure of the Officer campus. The project was finished and is in time for the start of Term 1 2021. It will be hosting an official Grand Opening at a date to be set.
