Berwick College
Berwick College embarked on its journey as Berwick High School back in 1977. Commencing with an inaugural enrollment of 113 students and scarce facilities, it has since flourished into a thriving and firmly established community, where a multitude of students, including subsequent generations of families, have embraced their secondary education.
At Berwick College, students encounter an extensive array of educational avenues, encompassing VCE, VCAL, and VET pathways. A concerted effort is made to guide students in selecting a pathway that aligns with their capabilities and career aspirations, supported by substantial counseling. The High Achievers’ Program caters to gifted and talented students, while applied learning initiatives cater to those inclined toward practical pursuits. Our comprehensive sports program is complemented by outstanding amenities such as hockey fields, tennis courts, netball courts, a dance studio, and a stadium. We also proudly house a Basketball Academy and a Dance Academy, along with two musical ensembles and an instrumental music program.
The college places great significance on its connections with both the local and broader community. An agreement for shared usage of facilities like the Berwick Leisure Centre, Edwin Flack Oval, and the athletics track is established with the City of Casey, enhancing our surroundings. In collaboration with The Rotary Club of Berwick, the college hosts two annual presentation balls. Our diverse camp programs take students on explorations across Victoria, interstate, and even overseas.
To foster personalization and strong bonds with families, our students are grouped into eight Learning Teams. Each Learning Team comprises eight Home Groups, overseen by a dedicated Home Group teacher, thereby ensuring a familiar point of contact for students and families. Guided by the well-being of our students, we work in close partnership with families to achieve the best possible outcomes.

While not a Select Entry school, we significantly contribute to Nossal High School, standing as one of the state’s highest contributors. A substantial portion of our accomplished students opt to remain at Berwick College, a testament to our pride in their achievements. Our scholastic accomplishments are particularly evident in the senior years, where both VCE and VCAL students achieve commendable results.
Our reputation as an exemplary institution and the diverse spectrum of learning avenues we offer are sources of pride for us. Through collaborative efforts between the College Council and staff, we continue to enhance and solidify the numerous pathways and programs accessible here at Berwick College.
