Minaret College was established in 1992 to provide a safe environment for young Muslim Australians. Its goal is to help them grow up as confident, upright, productive members of Australian society. Minaret College graduates and students are great examples of how it is possible to be true to your identity as both a Muslim Australian and an Australian Muslim.
Minaret College was established in 2001 and has been able to provide a high-quality Australian academic program that integrates Islamic knowledge and practice. Our VCE students have a 100% success rate, which has seen many graduates go on to study at the best universities in the country.
Our students have not only excelled academically, but they also have made positive contributions to society through the positive values they gained at Minaret College.
Minaret College was founded to promote peace and understanding. It pioneered respectful interfaith dialogue and activities with other schools. Minaret College also demonstrated its commitment towards the maintenance of peaceful societies through cooperation and understanding, upholding both the Declaration of Faith Based Schools Charter and the Islamic Schools Charter.
Minaret College aims to instill in its students the principles and custodianship and mercy of the earth. We place emphasis on sustainability in our curriculum and offer many opportunities for students to get involved in projects that improve the environment and serve the community. The school aims to instill respect for Aboriginal culture and heritage by providing opportunities for students to learn from the wisdom of the first peoples. The school’s rich ethnic diversity makes it an example of Australian multiculturalism. Students can also learn about the world around them.
