Candy the owner had a dream of owning her own childcare facility one day. We’ve been looking since February 2015 and then in March of 2015 we found this adorable tiny childcare center in the green suburb of Berwick The centre is set among tall, green leafy trees , and we knew that this was the right one for us. Since then, we’ve spent an enormous amount of time and effort into improving the surroundings and making it a place that families feel safe and secure in bringing their children.
Our Mission
Our aim is to nurture and enhance children’s potential and strengths through an emergent, child-led collaborative learning and teaching environment that is inspired by the natural world and guided by families and children.
The Berwick Twinklestar Early Childhood Centre‘s unique philosophy is based on the advantages of providing a complete education experience for children in a nurturing stimulating environment, aided by knowledgeable, skilled and enthusiastic educators who respect families and the local community.
Our Programs
Our educational programmes are specifically designed to meet every child’s needs for development and to acknowledge them as individuals.
Every program is designed to reflect your child’s current abilities, interests and skills and is executed following careful planning. Learning opportunities are combined with a specific teaching strategy to aid your child in developing new abilities and enhance their the existing ones.
Learning is enjoyable, relaxing and built by playing. Our learning spaces have been designed so that they are stimulating and challenging. Exploration and exploration are integral to the curriculum that encourages every child to become an active participant in their own learning.
Program for vacation
Berwick Twinklestar offers vacation care for children aged 5-12 years old. Our educational and fun program is based on our “My Time, Our Place” structure with a primary the emphasis on education through leisure and play, in which children are encouraged to discover their passions.
Our programs for vacation care are based on the child’s needs and provide an array of activities that range from outings (where we travel out to the community) as well as visits (where the provider visits us) as well as physical activity projects, and much more.
Extra Program we provide Free French as well as Chinese ( Mandarin ) Lessons every week.
Kindergarten Program
Berwick Twinklestar offers a full school day for 5 year olds five days a week. A certified kindergarten teacher ( Master of Education ) will devise and implement a challenging and educational program designed to encourage the growth of each child based on their unique requirements and interests.
The activities will include drawing, painting collage, pasting, clay moulding as well as water and sand games, books, puzzles blocks, building activities as well as dance and movement exploration of sensory experiences, science, and discussion time and storytime. The imagination of children will be inspired by dramatic play costumes, and puppetry.
This program can also expand into social issues like the safety of our roads healthy eating, sun smart dental health, those who live in the community, etc. We also aim to inspire a love for maths and literacy and to prepare our 4 year olds for their first day of school.
